A national workforce resilience program that invests in artists and their communities.

‍

Artists At Work (AAW) invests in artists and their communities, helping to seed and cultivate sustainable work and local partnerships that leverage creativity for community impact.

‍

Since 2020, Artists At Work has employed 98 artists and culture workers across 12 states to work in partnership with over 100 cultural and community organizations, reaching and engaging thousands of community members across the country. AAW centers local knowledge and needs while providing artists the skills and support to build sustainable long-term partnerships with ongoing impact beyond the employment term.

‍

We believe artists’ ability to thrive creatively and financially are key contributors to the civic and cultural well-being of the places they call home. AAW sees artists act as vital connectors and catalysts within local ecosystems, bridging diverse communities and creating opportunities for neighbors to meet, converse and work together to address pressing needs with creativity and collaboration.
